STB-1 Cryogenic Insulator goes wherever a cold component must carry load while being isolated from warm steel. As a glass-reinforced epoxy laminate, it is used in the same places engineers specify G10 Micarta blocks and pads.
Load-bearing blocks and shoes that isolate LNG, liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen lines from support steel, including cold shoes, anchors, guides, trunnions and saddles.
Saddle pads, skirt and leg isolators for cryogenic storage tanks and cold boxes. Pads are cut to the full bearing area of the saddle or base plate and drilled for anchor bolts.
Valve and Equipment Bases
Isolation pads under cryogenic pumps, valves and vaporizers keep the equipment base from chilling the skid or foundation steel.
Superconducting and Research Equipment
Structural standoffs and electrical isolation for magnets, cryostats and test rigs, where the dielectric strength of 500 VPM matters as much as thermal isolation.
Bolted Isolation Joints
Plates, washers and bushings that break both the thermal and electrical path through a bolted connection. Bushings are machined to suit your bolt size so that no bolt bridges the cold side to the warm side.
Cold-Storage and Freezer Structures
Thermal breaks at slab, column and steel connections in cold-storage buildings and freezers. For building-envelope thermal breaks, see Benchmark’s structural thermal break pads.
